Family Association
A strong, welcoming community doesn’t just happen—it’s something we build intentionally and joyfully, year after year. Through our Family Association, all Island School grown-ups are invited to come together on campus to connect, share stories, laugh a little (or a lot!), and grow alongside one another.

Our Family Association gets together once a month—sometimes in person over coffee in the morning, sometimes virtually in the afternoon (bring your lunch!). Every current parent and guardian is already a member, and while there’s no pressure to attend every meeting, we’d love to see you at a couple during the year if you can swing it. It’s a great way to stay connected, hear what’s happening at school, and share a few laughs.
You’ll find all the meeting dates on The Island School’s Google Calendar—mark your favorites!
The Heart of Our Village
The mission of the Family Association is simple: to bring the grown-ups of our Island School community together. That’s it! As the old saying goes, “It takes a village to raise a child,” and we strive to be that extended village for all our families.
Led by 2–3 wonderful current parents, the FA plans each meeting with care—sharing insider tips, important school updates, and ways to help one another navigate the school year with confidence. You’ll also hear what’s coming up around campus, and get insights from school leadership along the way. Grandparents, nannies, and younger siblings are welcome!

The FA oversees a few important school-wide initiatives:
-
Carnival (Fall)
-
Staff Appreciation (Spring)
-
Parent Education (Ongoing)
